It is necessary to appoint judges of Constitutional Court as soon as possible

Prime Minister Dritan Abazović had a working meeting with the Quint Ambassadors and the Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro.

During a pleasant and productive meeting, the officials agreed that it is necessary to unblock the judicial system and appoint judges of the Constitutional Court as soon as possible in order for regular political processes in Montenegro to run smoothly.

The Prime Minister and the ambassadors discussed the way to overcome the crisis, referring to the recently held local elections and future political developments in the country. They also discussed the upcoming Western Balkans Summit of the Berlin Process, expectations and the need to bring the region of the Western Balkans closer together. Prime Minister Abazović will represent Montenegro at the Summit.

Montenegro remains a reliable and credible partner 100 percent focused on Euro-Atlantic values on which democracy and the modern world rest, PM Abazović stressed.

The working meeting was attended by Judy Rising Reinke, US Ambassador, Karen Maddocks, British Ambassador, Johann Uhrès, Deputy Head of Mission at Embassy of France in Montenegro, Peter Felten, Ambassador of Germany, Andreina Marsella, Ambassador of Italy, Oana Cristina Popa, Head of the EU Delegation in Montenegro, and Đorđe Radulović, Prime Minister's Foreign Policy Adviser.
