Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić concluded his two-day working visit to the United Kingdom with a meeting with the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson. This is a historic meeting between the prime ministers of the two countries, whose delegations haven't had a targeted meeting at the highest level so far, except on the sidelines of the forum.

Prime Minister Krivokapić expressed satisfaction with the agreements reached during his visit to the United Kingdom, emphasising that in addition to its importance for the continuation of political dialogue and the strengthening of overall cooperation, it confirms the commitment to the alliance within NATO.

He said that even before taking office, he was committed to preserving the country's pro-Western course. Prime Minister Krivokapić pointed out that there are numerous challenges along the way. "Especially malignant activities and hybrid threats from neighbourhood, which are not only directed at the Government, but also at me personally. This Government is a great disappointment for third parties, because they thought that there could be a change in the country's foreign policy after the elections, but also great hope for our Europhile and pro-Western citizens, who finally 30 years after the rule of one party have hope that this Government could deal with previous shortcomings."

PM Krivokapić said that the new Government is fighting against the influence of third parties, as well as against the captured state.

"Stabilocracies are not values that we as a Government and society share, and especially not for the UK, a country that adopted the Magna Carta Libertatum 800 years ago, as the first sign that every holder of power must be accountable to its citizens," the Prime Minister of Montenegro said.

Krivokapić said that Montenegro is ready to listen to the proposals of partners, friends, allies in order to continue its path of European and Western values, but also to provide our citizens with stability, justice and impartial institutions.

As Winston Churchill said, 'We shall not fail or falter; we shall not weaken or tire. Give us the tools and we will finish the job', the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister Johnson expressed satisfaction that he has the opportunity to host Prime Minister Krivokapić.

This is a historic moment for our country, because for the first time, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom has the opportunity to host the Prime Minister of Montenegro, said PM Johnson.

The UK Minister noted that the United Kingdom supports the reform processes in Montenegro, as well as the efforts that the Government is making in the fight against organised crime and corruption. Johnson also pointed out that Montenegro has strong support in the area of Euro-Atlantic integration.
