The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management, within the framework of the Landscape fire management in the Western Balkans (LFMWB), funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation - SDC, is organising the Landscape fire management (LFM) national workshop, including guidelines for managing such fires in the Western Balkans region.

The first phase of the programme is designed to be implemented from 1 February 2022 to 31 August 2025.

The general objective of this programme is to increase the resilience of Western Balkan forests and areas crucial for the livelihoods and socio-economic development of the population in those regions.

The aim of this programme is to encourage regional cooperation, establish common policy frameworks, develop strategies, and provide guidelines for managing landscape fires in the Western Balkans countries.

We invite media representatives to attend the opening address, which will take place on 5 March 2024, at the Hilton Hotel from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management Vladimir Joković and LFMWB Programme Team Leader Cvetan Nikolovski will address the audience.
