Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Organization of Montenegrin Students Abroad
Signing the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Organization of Montenegrin Students Abroad, will create preconditions for better contacts and concretization of assistance to young people who are studying or continuing their professional path outside the borders of our country.
The document, signed today by Foreign Minister Đorđe Radulović and Nikolina Radonjić on behalf of OCSI, will contribute to the improvement and strengthening of mutual cooperation in the fields of education, culture, professional development and mobility, and joint activities will continue through the project "Montenegro Embassies - Open House" (MEOH).
In the conversation with the representatives of the Organization, Minister Radulović emphasized the importance that young people represent for Montenegro, as well as the necessity for our state to valorize their potentials in the right way. The memorandum of cooperation implies the improvement of the internship and volunteering program. Also, the trends and challenges that students face during their studies abroad will be identified through intensive cooperation.
"Our embassies are available to all citizens, and employees in the diplomatic-consular network will, in communication with student representatives in the host countries, contribute to a better understanding of their needs and possible difficulties. We are focused on strengthening all the mechanisms of cooperation with students, who represent our most important value", said Minister Radulović.
He expressed his belief that educated young people are able to contribute to strengthening of the diplomatic network, whose professionalization is one of the priorities of the MFA.
The document also implies improving the exchange of information, knowledge, experiences and expertise, and one of the benefits will be mutual logistical support, as well as the design, planning and implementation of projects of mutual interest.
Representatives of the Organization of Montenegrin Students Abroad believe that the signing of the Memorandum will bring even better cooperation with our diplomatic and consular missions around the world, as well as that students will achieve easier the information they need to start successfully studying abroad.
Montenegrin diplomatic and consular missions will continuously build ties and work on improving policies related to students and young professionals educated abroad, through the organization of forums, public debates, round tables and conferences.
