Milena Lipovina-Božović

Milena Lipovina-Božović was born in 1983, in Cetinje, Montenegro, where she graduated elementary and secondary school as an honor student. She graduated from Entrepreneurship and Finance Department at the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica in 2005.
The Master Degree thesis on “Modelling the impact of FDI on the economic growth of the Western Balkan by using panel data” was defended in 2008, at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade, whilst the PhD degree on the topic “Econometric models for forecasting the macroeconomic indicators for Montenegro” was defended in 2014 at the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica.
She was honored by the Central Bank of Montenegro for the best PhD thesis in Montenegro in 2014 and is recipient of numerous awards for her academic achievements.
The professional career of Milena Lipovina-Božović commenced at the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica in 2005, where she worked as the teaching assistant at Quantitative Economics Department.
She was also a visiting professor at the Faculty of Philosophy for the course of Advanced Statistical Methods in Psychology. During the period from 2013 to 2014 she was one of the coordinators for the international mobility of students, as well as a member of the Quality Commission of the Faculty of Economic in Podgorica.
For the purpose of professional development, she was visiting economist at several renowned universities: Faculty of Economics in Udine, Italy; Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana, Slovenia; Katz Business School, University of Pittsburgh, USA; Greenwich University in London, UK; University of Economics and Business (WU), Wienna, Austria. Under the project of dual diplomas implemented by the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica and the University “Nice Sophia Antipolis” from France, she was a lecturer of the Mathematics and Statistics, which were presented in French language.
During her academic and professional career, she participated in many seminars, trainings and conferences and is the author of a number of scientific and professional researches, projects and papers, published in reputable scientific journals.
She was UNDP consultant for implementation of several projects and is a member of the national expert team for the implementation of the European Council’s projects.
Mrs. Lipovina-Božović was appointed as the State Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Development of Montenegro on 17th of December 2020.
She speaks English and French.
