Minister Radulović at the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York

Foreign Affairs Minister Đorđe Radulović will attend the General debate of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, which is held from September 21st to 27th in New York.

General debate, named “Building resilience through hope – to recover from COVID-19, rebuild sustainably, respond to the needs of the planet, respect of human rights and revitalize the United Nations”, presents an event at the highest level which gathers the heads of states or governments and foreign affairs ministers, who, in their expositions, give their view on responding to global challenges and the role of the United Nations.

Adressing multidimensional consequences of the ongoing pandemic with goals of building sustainable future, as well as strengthening multilateralism and the United Nations, which are in the center of international cooperation and global response.

As a member of the Montenegrin delegation, the Head of Diplomacy will attend multiple multilateral meetings which are being organized at the margins of the Assembly, including: 10th Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies; Annual meeting of the Global Governance Group (3G) with the G20 Troika; Ministerial Meeting of the Alliance for Multilateralism; and the Conference of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty.

One of the most significant events which are being organized under the auspices of the United Nations presents an opportunity for confirmation of Montenegro’s commitment to the principles and goals of the UN, peace and security, human rights respect and achieving sustainable development goals, as well as further promotion of achieved results and priorities on both interior and exterior plans, strengthening of our countries position and visibility in the UN and promotion of bilateral relations with other participating states.
