Minister Radulović participates in Informal meeting of European Affairs ministers at Brdo pri Kranju
Being a part of Europe means standing shoulder to shoulder when it's hard, but also relying on friends. This was shown during the health crisis, which crystallized all the pains on a global level and strengthened the goals. It is our job to be part of the European Union, said Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović at an Informal meeting of European Affairs ministers at Brdo pri Kranju in the Republic of Slovenia. The meeting was dedicated to the presentation of the priorities of the Slovenian presidency of the EU Council, as well as the resilience of the EU after the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The message of the meeting is clear - "Together. Resistant. Europe".
Speaking on this topic, Minister Radulović pointed out that Montenegro is especially proud of the fact that there was no negative campaign in our country, although vaccines from the EU, which itself struggled with the health crisis, arrived in the countries of the region a little later.
On the contrary, Montenegrin citizens knew that help was coming. I believe that the health crisis has once again shown that there is no other answer than to work on being more resilient, and that there is no resilience without solidarity. The pandemic has shown that no government alone can prevent the challenges of a pandemic. I am sure that only together can we succeed in this by monitoring risks, investing in innovation and combating disinformation that poses a particular threat. I am sure that we will succeed and come out of this crisis even stronger, Radulović said.
The meeting concluded that the pandemic is one of the biggest challenges the Union has faced so far, and that it represents its test of resilience and reminds of the importance of working together to resolve crises that have cross-border effects.
