Minister Radulović visited Portonovi, the first European One&Only resort

MFA’s commitment to the concept of economic diplomacy requires that all diplomatic representatives promote tourist and investment potentials of Montenegro. In a way, investors which are present in the country can also be seen as ambassadors. With their successful projects they are the best witnesses of the beauty of Montenegro as a jewel of the Mediterranean, but also a country in which investments in great ideas such as One&Only Portonovi are welcome – Head of Montenegrin Diplomacy Đorđe Radulović said during his visit to the first resort of this ultra-luxury brand in this part of Europe, which Azmont Invetsments built in Herceg Novi.

Minister Radulović said that One&Only Portonovi presents an example of an unobtrusive luxury, perfectly incorporated in the ambience and authentic Mediterranean architecture. A very important fact is that with careful relationship and respect for the social context, this project merged with the city and its citizens. For this value, but also an image of its touch with mountains and the bay of Kotor which it leaves in the memory of visitors, he said that it symbolizes our country in the right way. As such, it can represent an ideal host for international conferences which Montenegro presides, and which assemble high officials of member states of those initiatives.

CEO of Azmont Investments Rashad Aliyev pointed out that he is glad that the Government of Montenegro and its Ministry acknowledge the significance of Portonovi to the development of the Bay of Kotor and tourist potentials which Montenegro has. Continuous cooperation and joint promotion of mOntenegro are of great importance for further development and promotion of offering which we have, and attraction of guests which will return to Montenegro whether through visits to the resort, marina or a hotel. Aliyev especially pointed out the significance of Portonovi for the development and support to the local community to which it is a loyal partner since 2012. when the company came to Montenegro.

During the meeting in Portonovi, Minister Radulovic informed his interlocutor that, by estimates of the World Bank, as well as other international financial institutions, Montenegrin economy marks a strong rise and is expected to recover in all key sectors in the next year.

Pointing out that Montenegro received an international mark for safe travels by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), he added that this investment worth 900 million euros speaks of the fact that Montenegro is a safe destination for investments. On that line, Head of Montenegrin Diplomacy pointed out that planned economic reforms in cooperation with further efforts of the Government in establishing the rule of law and decisive fight against corruption and organized crime, in significant measure will improve business ambiance and make Montenegro an even more attractive destination for investments.
