Mirsad Azemović was born on June 19, 1981, in Rožaje, where he completed both elementary and secondary education.
In 2007, he graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade, specializing in Political Science.
He began his professional career in 2007 as a manager in the Fundraisers sector at UNICEF. From 2012 onward, he worked as an editor and correspondent journalist.
His first public office was as Deputy President of the Municipality of Rožaje, a position he held until 2017.
Subsequently, he served as an advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro, Rafet Husović, from 2017 to 2020.
Between 2021 and 2022, he was an advisor to the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Ervin Ibrahimović. In 2023, he held the position of Director of a Directorate at the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare of Montenegro.
Since July 2024, he has been serving as the Minister of Diaspora.
Mr. Azemović has participated as a panelist and lecturer at numerous conferences, seminars, and training sessions, focusing on both political issues and labor market topics.
He is fluent in English and Russian.
