The "Strengthening Transatlantic Tourism Cooperation between the Countries of the Western Balkans and the United States" project places a special emphasis on attracting tourists from the USA to the Western Balkans. The project is being implemented by the chambers of commerce in the region with the support of the United States embassies.

During a working lunch, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić familiarized himself with the plans of the project, promoted under the slogan "Mystical Balkans," which is intended to confirm good regional cooperation.

During discussions, it was noted that the arrival of American tourists would serve as a clear indication of the region's safety and the plethora of intriguing offerings it provides. Additionally, it would send a strong message to US companies to consider further investment in the Western Balkans.

It was emphasised that tourism cooperation could have a significant multiplier effect on numerous other economic sectors, underscoring the project as a great opportunity for the region.

It was announced that next month, during the Southeast Europe Transatlantic Economic Forum in Washington, a Memorandum of Cooperation between the project initiators will be signed.

The main event is scheduled for October, coinciding with a conference expected to be attended by major American tour operators.

It was concluded that for the success of the project, it is essential to ensure more and better air connections from the United States to the countries of the Western Balkans.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the US Embassy, led by Deputy Chief of Mission Nicole Otallah, as well as leaders of the Chambers of Commerce of Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia…
