NATO is donating to Montenegro € 432.970,00 for procurement of magnetic resonance and X-ray generator
The Agreement between the NATO and Montenegro on donation for support to the health system in facing the pandemic COVID-19 has been signed today in Brussels. Ambassador Dubravka Lalović and Director of NATO Defence Institution and Capacity Building Marc DiPaolo, signed Agreement, by which rights and obligations of contractual parties have been regulated.
Under the Agreement, the NATO Trust Fund for Pandemic will deposit to the Ministry of Health of Montenegro € 432.970,00, that Ministry will redirect to the General Hospital in Berane for procurement of magnetic resonance and X-ray generator. This will decrease pressure and resolve long term problem of the citizens from northern parts of Montenegro, thus provide help for our health system.
The institution in charge for the implementation of projects that Ministry of Health, respectively the General Hospital in Berane, that will conduct public procurement equipment procedure.
This is continuation of the NATO support to Montenegro, after donating 20 respirators with following equipment packages last year, on the basis of Montenegrin request for international assistance, submitted to the NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC). The overall estimated value of thus far NATO support to Montenegro against pandemic is about € 800.000,00.
