PM Abazović congratulates Biden on 4 July

Prime Minister Dritan Abazović sent a congratulatory message to President of the United States of America Joe Biden on the occasion of US Independence Day.

It is my pleasure to extend to you, on behalf of the Government of Montenegro and myself, our heartfelt congratulations and wishes for further prosperity and well-being of your country and the American people, on the occasion of 4 July - Independence Day of the United States of America.

We are committed to contributing to further strengthening of political and economic dialogue in the forthcoming period, on the basis of our traditionally friendly and allied relations, confident that we have a genuine partner in you and the United States of America.

I avail myself of this occasion likewise to express our gratitude for your country’s consistent support for Montenegro's European path, which encourages us to steadfastly implement reform processes and meet the commitments from our European agenda. Today, more than ever before, it is important that our Allies understand the geostrategic importance of European integration of the Western Balkan countries, as a guarantor of the long-term stability of the region as a whole and attainment of the Western system of values.

In these altered geopolitical circumstances, I profoundly believe that by coordinated partnership action within NATO, we can provide a significant contribution to peace in Europe, as well as to the mitigation of the consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine. The 43^rd Government of Montenegro, headed by me, will be unequivocally committed to this goal.

Hopeful that we shall soon have the opportunity to meet and give a new impetus to our interstate cooperation, please accept the assurances of my highest consideration and kind regards.
