Prime Minister addresses TurkCham: Good bilateral relations for enhanced economic cooperation between Montenegro and Türkiye
Good bilateral relations between Montenegro and Türkiye are reflected in the increasingly strong economic cooperation between the two countries, as conveyed during the gathering organised by TurkCham, attended by Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.
The Economic Summit, hosted by the Turkish Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro, stands as evidence that Turkish companies recognise our country as an attractive investment destination. They view Montenegro as a conducive business environment where they can successfully operate, highlighted the Prime Minister.
The 44th Government will be particularly focused on improving the standard of living, economic prosperity, strengthening the rule of law, and resolutely combating corruption and organised crime, aligning with integration requirements.
Political stability guarantees the implementation of necessary reforms.
In the coming period, we will diligently work on enhancing the investment environment to reduce business barriers. The efficiency of providing public services is a priority in this context, as is the reform of the tax system, which must be straightforward, predictable, and transparent, stated the Prime Minister, adding:
With the comprehensive economic programme 'Europe Now 1', the tax burden on labour has been reduced, which is the most significant fixed cost for the economy. In the upcoming period, further reduction of this burden will be high on the agenda of this Government to make our business environment even more attractive.
Significant infrastructure projects will further stimulate economic development and diversification, creating conditions for Montenegro to harness its full potential.
Spajić concluded that there is enormous potential for additional economic cooperation with Turkey, especially in the fields of tourism, energy, healthcare, education, transportation, and agriculture.
