Prime Minister Spajić attends ceremony marking Armed Forces Day: Our soldiers contribute to collective security, ready to tackle global challenges
Prime Minister Milojko Spajić attended the official ceremony celebrating Montenegro's Armed Forces Day, held at the University Sports and Cultural Center in Podgorica.
Earlier today, Spajić extended his congratulations on this occasion, emphasising the crucial role that Montenegro, as a NATO member, plays in maintaining global peace.
On this special day, we honor the brave men and women who have defended our freedom in the past, as well as those who today stand guard over the peace and safety of all Montenegrin citizens. The tradition of Montenegrin heroes, built on honor, courage, and love for our homeland, remains a solid foundation of our military. Their legacy inspires us to defend the dignity, peace, and sovereignty of our country at all times, the Prime Minister said in his message.
Today, as a NATO member, Montenegro proudly stands shoulder to shoulder with its allies, committed to the shared goal of preserving global peace and stability. Our Armed Forces are an integral part of this strong alliance, contributing to collective security through professionalism, responsibility, and a readiness to address challenges that affect the entire world. This membership affirms our determination to defend the values of freedom and democratic order through international cooperation and partnership, while also strengthening our national defence capabilities, he added.
Prime Minister Spajić emphasised the crucial role of the Armed Forces in ensuring a secure future.
We proudly stand by our Armed Forces, which are an inseparable pillar of Montenegro’s statehood and security. Our Armed Forces, drawing from both a rich historical heritage and modern advancements, symbolize strength, dedication, and courage. Through this harmony of tradition and modern challenges, as well as their active contribution to global security, our soldiers demonstrate their commitment to peace, not only within Montenegro’s borders but across the world. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all members of the Montenegrin Army on this special day! May honor, strength, and courage guide you, just as it did the generations before you, as we together march towards a more secure future, concluded the Prime Minister.
