Radulović–Adam: Kingdom of Belgium supports European Integration of the new Government

Kingdom of Belgium supports orientation of the new Government of Montenegro towards European future and it is ready to improve bilateral cooperation - as it has been emphasized during today’s conversation between Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović with Ambassador of Kingdom of Belgium in Montenegro on non-resident basis Koen Adam.

During the meeting, it has been highlighted that official visit of Minister Radulović to Brussels will contribute to intensifying of political contacts, as well as deepening of cooperation between Montenegro and Belgium in fields of economy, tourism and health.  

 Minister Radulović stressed that about 80 percentage of Montenegrin citizens support membership of our country in EU, thus in that sense the Union's enlargement is „first and the last word “.Head of diplomacy stated that it is needed to jointly create preconditions for strengthening of bilateral ties in post-COVID period, with focus on coming of Belgium tourists in Montenegro and attracting credible investments. In that context, he stressed the importance of immunisation in large number, while alleging that Government has a plan to vaccinate 70 percentage of population until June.  

Ambassador Adam appraised current campaign for vaccination, adding that he is optimist when it comes to developing of cooperation in the field of tourism. He highlighted that health system of Montenegro can count on assistance of Belgium in regard to procurement of medical equipment. Speaking of cooperation in the field of economy, collocutors agreed that the business forum should be organised, when epidemiological conditions allow, that will open additional perspectives for investment and connecting the investors.Ambassador Adam stated that they are encouraged by firm orientation of Montenegro towards EU, as well as that for integration of the Region adopting of European values and resolving remained regional topics is of huge importance. 

They acknowledged that presence of European countries, politically and through investments, is significant for further progress of Western Balkans’ countries.
