Radulović – Dmochowski: Montenegro is dedicated to goals of Polish chairmanship of OSCE
Montenegro is a reliable partner of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and will continue to contribute to the priorities of Polish chairmanship during 2022. Our work in achieving the goals of OSCE matches with our EU agenda and helps us make progress on our European path - Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović said during the meeting with Ambassador of Poland Artur Dmochowski who was in his first visit to Podgorica in the capability of the Special Envoy of the OSCE Chairman. Poland took over chairmanship of this organization on January 1st.
Minister Radulović said that, although it is one of the smallest countries, Montenegro leads an active political dialogue, which is proven by recent meetings with highest OSCE officials. He added that in the context of worsened security situation on the Ukrainian border, co-operation between all is necessary in order to secure peace and stability in the wider OSCE area.
Ambassador Dmochowski presented priorities of the Polish presidency, which include providing support in solving conflicts with emphasis on the role of diplomacy, as well as efficient multilateralism as a response to post COVID challenges. He stressed that in framework of the economic and ecologic dimension, their priority is strengthening sustainable recovery and modernization of the economies of the OSCE region. He expects that Poland will, during its chairmanship, contribute to stability and easing of tensions, as well as create additional possibilities for co-operation.
During the meeting, interlocutors commended the co-operation with the OSCE Mission in Podgorica which actively contributes to national reform processes, especially in areas of electoral and judicial reforms, as well as media freedoms.
