Radulović, Lajčak: Focus on strengthening political dialogue and the fight against corruption
Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović met with EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and other Western Balkan regional issues Miroslav Lajčák in Brussels. Montenegro's role is important for the Western Balkans and dialogue as a basis for cooperation and progress, better integration and sustainable growth of the entire region, said Minister Radulović.
Minister Radulović said that Montenegro's European perspective is unquestionable, despite the challenges at the domestic level, emphasising that the fight against organised crime and corruption is a priority. At the same time, he confirmed the position that the dialogue of all political actors on important issues is essential for progress, saying that the rule of law is one of the key priorities of the Government.
The reform processes go hand in hand with the European values that Montenegro cherishes and strengthens on the path of European integration.
The meeting expressed the unquestionable support of the EU on that path. Mr. Lajčák pointed out that the political dialogue of all actors must be intensified in order to speed up the integration process. He also welcomed the results in the fight against organised crime and corruption.
Minister Radulović said that Montenegro's foreign policy remains unchanged, adding that it will continue advancing on its European path.
