Radulović- Reeker: Montenegro and the USA are true friends, partners and allies

On the sidelines of the international conference "PRESPA - Forum for Dialogue", which is being held under the title "Western Balkans: The Missing Part of the Puzzle for Completing Europe", Foreign Minister Djordje Radulovic met with Philip Reeker, US Acting Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.

Reeker pointed out that Montenegro and the United States are true friends, partners and allies, which makes his country especially proud of. The United States strongly supports the European agenda of Montenegro, but also of other Western Balkan countries, and their efforts towards full membership and full integration into the EU. He pointed out that the two countries share common values, which are further confirmed through the alliance in NATO. The United States deeply cares about Montenegro, an independent state with its own history, which has always been an example of multiethnic harmony, and will therefore continue to be a reliable partner of Montenegro.

The head of Montenegrin diplomacy confirmed that the friendship and alliance between the two countries are the initiator of future cooperation and additional strengthening of ties. Montenegro appreciates US support on its European path. Montenegro remains strongly committed to this partnership, which is further confirmed by joint action within NATO. He pointed out that Montenegro shares the same view with the United States on the future of the Region, especially in the context of further EU integration and strengthening ties with neighbors.

During the meeting, they also talked about strengthening the economic partnership, as well as about the upcoming summer season in Montenegro.
