Radulović with ambassadors Tanskul and Al Hinai: Montenegro is oriented towards dynamizing cooperation with Thailand and Oman

Relations between Montenegro and Thailand are based on mutual respect and friendship of two people, with additional space for their improvement through development of cooperation in areas of joint interest, as been appraised today ate meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović with new-appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom Thailand in Montenegro Bhakavat Tanskul, on non-resident basis with seat in Budapest.

Minister Radulović congratulated collocutor on assuming the duties, while emphasizing that it in the following period the bilateral ties should be deepened, with particular emphasis on tourism area, as pillar of economic development of both countries. He also highlighted the possibility of establishing cooperation between ports Bar and Bangkok, with special focus on favorable geographic position of Bar as good hub for placement of goods from Thailand in the region and abroad. “Engagement of Honorary Consul Vichuda Ratanapian represents kind of bridge in relations of our countries, thus we believe that positive trend of initiating additional activities on empowerment of cooperation will be continued”, Head of Montenegrin diplomacy stated.

Ambassador Tanskul expressed the gratitude to the Minister on reception, while stressing the importance of organizing political consultations as great mechanism for strengthening cooperation in the period ahead. He also proposed organization of the meeting between two foreign ministers in Bangkok or at the margins of General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, if epidemiological conditions allow.

Participation of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand in the work of the Summer Scholl for Young Diplomats “Gavro Vuković”, in the previous years, as well as Montenegrin diplomats in the trainings organized by Thai International Cooperation Agency, is additional indicator of good communication at institutional level - evaluated by collocutors. They also highlighted the importance of cooperation on multilateral level, through interstate support to candidacies. 

At the meeting of Minister Radulović with new-appointed Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman Abdulaziz Al Hinai, the pleasure with friendly relations of two countries has been emphasized. Minister Radulović highlighted the full openness and availability of the Ministry he leads, for every initiative directed to improvement of relations and overall cooperation, thus expressed belief in successful mandate of Ambassador. 

“Moto of Oman’s foreign policy – Friend to all, enemy to no one – represents kind of pillar of all countries that seek to global peace and progress”, Head of Montenegrin diplomacy stated. On that line, he reminded that Montenegro has same commitments, particularly in the context of improvement of regional cooperation on the basis of “zero problem” doctrine. In the terms of concrete proposals for cooperation improvement, Minister Radulović stressed that “huge potential is reflected in area of renewable energy, high technologies, waters and agriculture”, so that Montenegrin Chamber of Commerce is interested for further communication in this regard.

Ambassador Al Hinai informed collocutor about the Sultanate’s policy towards neighbors, stressing that his country is promoter of peace and regional stability. He also highlighted the need for establishing practice of bilateral consultations of two ministries of foreign affairs as well as regulation of legal framework directed to the dynamizing activities in the area of investments, culture and economy.

Credible investments are basis for economic progress - concluded collocutors and agreed the continuation of constructive communication in relation to connecting entrepreneurships through organizing business forums (so-called B2B) in the forthcoming period. “Economic diplomacy is one of the focus of our foreign policy agenda, therefore we are in the mood for intensify all the activities”, Head of Montenegrin diplomacy stated.
