Regional cooperation
Good neighboring relations and regional cooperation is one of the key priorities of foreign policy of Montenegro from restoration of independence in 2006.
Montenegro participates in the work in more than 30 regional initiatives and platforms for cooperation, starting from the expert to the highest political level, oriented to strengthening regional cooperation and launching of contacts in various areas of the national, regional and international importance.
Role of the country in presiding over regional mechanism is particularly significant, with which we contribute to the permanent positioning of our country, as well as positions of countries of the region on European map, especially through continuous improvement of constructive regional dialogue, promotion of common values based on European principles and standards, and boosting of project – oriented cooperation towards overall reforms of Western Balkans’ societies.
Montenegro has many times proved its readiness to actively participate and initiate regional activities and strengthen its role and visibility in the region and beyond. Headquarter of Regional School for Public Administration (ReSPA) is situated in Danilovgrad.
