Spajić: The United States of America is our key partner and ally

"The Government of Montenegro is completely pro-Euro-Atlantic, and the United States of America is our key partner and ally," Prime Minister Milojko Spajić said at a meeting with US Ambassador Judy Rising Reinke.

Prime Minister informed the Ambassador about the plans for the upcoming period and pointed out that European integration, increasing the standard of living of citizens and strengthening the security sector are in the focus of the Government's work.

Ambassador Reinke expressed the expectation that the Government would quickly move forward with fulfilling its commitments so that Montenegro would make progress towards EU membership and remain a strong ally in NATO.

The interlocutors exchanged opinions on the possibilities for bolstering economic cooperation with an emphasis on attracting more American investments to Montenegro.

One of the topics of the meeting was the upcoming population census, and the Prime Minister said that the Government would do everything it takes to make the process as inclusive as possible.

For further development, we need data, but data that is credible and recognized by all relevant stakeholders, concluded the Prime Minister.
