The 55th Cabinet session – 1 June 2023

The Montenegrin Cabinet, at today's 55th session, chaired by Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, adopted the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the Judicial Council and Judges with the Report on the Public Debate. Changes were made in order to strengthen the independence and efficiency of the judiciary. Also, the new solutions meet the recommendations of the European Commission to take measures to strengthen the independence of the judiciary.

The Cabinet adopted the set of measures for prevention and suppression of violence among children, adolescents and youth in 2023.

The Cabinet adopted the Draft Law on the ratification of the Agreement between Montenegro and the Republic of Albania on social insurance. The main purpose of the adoption of this law is the need for further improvement of bilateral relations between the contracting states and the regulation, i.e. the exercise of social security rights for insured persons and beneficiaries of these rights based on residence or work in the territory of one of the contracting states.

The Cabinet adopted the Information on the conclusion of the Technical Arrangement regarding the execution and provision of support to the host country during the "Adriatic Strike" exercise, which will take place on 5-9 June 2023 in Cerklje, Republic of Slovenia, and accepted the text of the Technical Arrangement.

The Cabinet adopted the Information on the continuation of activities on establishing the legal and institutional framework for the implementation of European Union support through the IPA III financial framework (2021-2027).

The Information on the intention of the Ministry of Finance to improve the system of supervision of the organisation of games of chance was adopted.

The Cabinet adopted the Information on the intention to introduce the system of electronic invoices.
