Uncompromising and steadfast: Continuing the battle against organised crime

This successful operation by the Special Prosecutor's Office and the Special Police Department of the Police Directorate in cooperation with Europol, resulting in the arrest of multiple individuals, including police officers, is yet another proof of the strength and effectiveness of our security sector. Through numerous prosecutions and arrests of police officers, we fulfill the promise we made regarding the cleansing of the security sector.

With these actions, we also send a clear message to all criminal elements that there is no place for them in our society. Our commitment to combating all forms of crime, especially cigarette smuggling, is unwavering, and there will be no compromises when it comes to preserving law and order.

I want to particularly commend the courage and professionalism of the members of the Special Police Department of the Police Directorate and the Special Prosecutor's Office, whose collaboration was crucial in the realization of this operation. Their dedication and loyalty to duty are the pillars upon which the security of our state rests.

We are aware that there are individuals and groups seeking to obstruct our work and demoralize the security sector, attempting to portray it in a negative light. The daily political noise and political performances remain in the shadow of the everyday brave and dedicated work of police structures and competent prosecutors.

We will not allow any attempts at obstruction to diminish our resolve in cleansing Montenegro of criminal activities.

Let this operation serve as a reminder that justice will always find its way and that the law will be respected. Our goal is clear - to continue the fight against crime, preserving the peace and security of our citizens. Uncompromising and steadfast.
