We are confident of your success in achieving EU membership

Montenegro appreciates Czech support to the European integration process of the Western Balkans – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Đorđe Radulović said during the farewell visit of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic Karel Urban.

Head of Montenegrin Diplomacy thanked Urban for his rich and dedicated engagement, adding that he was the first resident Czech Ambassador in Montenegro. Being aware that this country fully understands the context of our EU path, he also expressed hope that the support will not be absent during Czech presidency of the EU Council in the other half of 2022.

Ambassador Urban commended Montenegro’s foreign policy and expressed hope that our country will achieve its main foreign political goal - EU membership, in which it will have the support of his country. On that line, Czech diplomat also explained his country’s intention to define the European integration of the Western Balkans as one of the priorities of its presidency.

Assessing that the cooperation during Urban’s term was excellent both on bilateral and multilateral levels, Minister Radulović commended his interlocutor’s readiness to provide support to local self – governments, adding that visible results are of greatest importance to our citizens.

Head of Montenegrin Diplomacy wished Ambassador Urban a successful future engagement in Albania, adding that he will always be welcome in Montenegro.
