WIPO-WTO PROGRAMME ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ISSUES
The World Trade Organization (WTO) Secretariat and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Secretariat will jointly organize the Annual WIPO-WTO Executive Programme on Intellectual Property Issues for Senior Government Officials, from 3 to 14 June 2024. Members may nominate up to three official currently working on legal and policy issues touching on intellectual property (IP).
To be considered for possible selection, applicants must: be a senior government official responsible for intellectual property and related policy issuesin his/her country; have completed the WTO on-line e-Training TRIPS course or possess proven commensurate knowledge or professional experience; demonstrate an extensive practical background in intellectual property law, policy and practice; possess an excellent knowledge of English; and be nominated by their government.
Only civil servants who satisfy the requirements stipulated in the invitation letter will be considered in the selection process by the WTO Secretariat.
The application process consists of the following steps:
1. Interested candidates need to duly complete and submit the online application form, which is available at https://wto.formstack.com/forms/2024_wipo_wto_advanced_course
2. The online application form requires uploading a scanned copy of the passport and of the official nomination letter, signed and stamped by the competent government authority that is nominating the candidate. Interested candidates (civil servants of Montenegro) who meet the requirements outlined in the invitation letter, are invited to submit applications along with accompanying documents (CV and a copy of passport) to the Ministry of Economic Development. These should be send to the following e-mail addresses: aida.salagic@mek.gov.me i nikoleta.milutinovic@mek.gov.me, no later than 4 April 2024.
3.The application form, including the passport and nomination letter, should be submitted via the online application system no later than 10 April 2024.
4. The application form must be completed and signed by the candidate as well as by the nominating authority which presents the candidate, as well as stamped, and submitted to the Institute for Training and Technical Cooperation of the WTO (through the Mission in Geneva) no later than 10 April 2024.
