It was noted that in the past period a great progress in fiscal adjustment was made and that the structural reforms in health, science and other areas need to be continued as it is a condition for increasing productivity and competitiveness.
PM Luksic underlined that the Montenegrin Government is dedicated to preserving macroeconomic stability and implementing measures of economic policies with primary aim of creating a favourable business environment, attracting new investments, opening new companies and creating new jobs. The application of financial laws, as Prime Minister Luksic pointed up, will be of great significance in reinforcing Montenegrin financial system.
The Head of the IMF acquainted the Prime Minister with the Mission’s constructive meetings with Government’s official, adding that the preliminary conclusions that IMF mission reached during its two-week stay in Montenegro will be presented to the public on Tuesday, February 22.
