Competence of the Property Administration

The adoption of the Law on state property (Official Gazette of Montenegro No 21/09) and the Regulation on the operation of state administration (Official Gazette of Montenegro No 59/09) created an obligation for the formation of the Property Administartion that performs tasks related to: keep a record of state property in accordance with international accounting standards; keeping a register of state property; taking care of the intended use of state property; care of the property, which by force of law becomes state property; investment and ongoing maintenance of buildings of state authorities, representative objects of state authorities and the diplomatic and consular missions of Montenegro abroad; application and monitoring activities in the cadastral registration relating to subdivision, demarcation, exchange, preparation of draft contracts and monitoring their implementation; performing payment of lease; provision of conditions for the protection of property; perform other tasks related to state property on behalf of the Government and the Ministry of Finance harmonization of data from their records with data from the real estate cadastre; list of properties former socio political organization and ensuring its entry into the real estate cadastre; care of registration of property owned by Montenegro in the real estate cadastre; keeping records of contracts concluded on acquisition and disposing with immovable and movable property and other assets of greater value in the state property; submission of reports to the Ministry of Finance in electronic form within the time limits provided for by law; perform ancillary tasks necessary for the operation and functioning of state institutions, as well as other tasks within its competence.
