Held expert seminar: Confiscation pecuniary benefit acquired by the commission criminal offenses in domestic law and comparative practice

In cooperation with AIRE Center  from London and Judical Training Center of Montenegro, CEDEM organized a expert seminar titled ’’Confiscation pecuniary benefit acquired by the commission criminal offenses in domestic law and comparative practice’’. The seminar was held 24 - 26. march in hotel ,,Queen of Montenegro’’ in Budva.

The seminar aimed to bring together legal experts from country and region, and encourage debate on the confiscation and management pecuniary benefit acquired by the commission criminal offenses, and that in this way contribute consideration of the advantages and challenges with which the actors of this process are facing.

Besides representatives of the judiciary, to the seminar attended  representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Police Montenegro (Department for the Suppression of economic crime and Department for Combating of organized crime) Twinning Project: The fight against organized crime - Strengthening the Prosecutors' Network, IPA 2010, and representatives of the advocacy, international organizations and NGOs.

On the last day of the seminar, assistant Director of the Property Administration, Mr. Osman Nurković, gave a lecture on the theme: Managing benefit of confiscated property in montenegrian practice - key advantages and challenges.

On this ocation are presented the experiences Serbia, Italy and Slovenia, and Mr. Jeff Palmer, Senior Police Advisor at the American Embassy in Podgorica presented the experience of the U.S. in this area. The seminar was organized with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Podgorica, and co-funded by the Foundation Konrad Adenauer, through the Programme for the rule of law South Eastern Europe and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade.
