The meeting of Minister Numanovic with the new Chief of Delegation of European Union to Montenegro

Montenegro is seriously dedicated to its work on fulfilling the expected obligations in the European agendas said Minister for Human and Minority Rights Suad Numanovic  at the meeting with new Chief of Delegation of European Union to Montenegro H.E. Aiv Orav.

Minister introduced H.E. with the jurisdictions of the institution he leads and emphasized  strengthening the rule of law as a key segment in the negotiating chapters .

The issue of preventing and promoting human and minority rights is in the focus of domestic as well as the international policy. Following that, the strong rule of law is a precondition of any successful integration and full democratization of the society.

 

Minister emphasized that Montenegro very successfully harmonizes its domestic legal framework in the field of antidiscrimination with the international standards in this field, so that it is the intensifying of implementation of the laws what currently remains.

 

He stressed the importance of continuing the successful cooperation with the Delegation of European Union to Montenegro, especially when dealing with the further promotion of institutional and legal protection of human rights and equal opportunities.
