Exercise "Crna Gora 2016" - Field activities Day 1

Published on: Nov 2, 2016 5:00 PM Author: PR Service

The practical part of the international field exercise "Crna Gora 2016", organised by the Directorate for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) , continued yesterday and today in Rogami and Virpazar / Vranjina.

The scenario, i.e. simulation, which was conducted yesterday in Rogami refers to the flooding in Danilovgrad, where the level of the Zeta River has been raised, causing the landslide of the left side of riverbank in Rogami.

It was simulated that 4-5 houses were endangered, four of which were completely destroyed. The terrain is still slipping and burying the road, from which the bus with 20 passengers and two vehicles fell off. Due to the accident in Danilovgrad, expert teams assume the water is not safe to drink. According to this scenario, CBRN team, rescue-search team, and water rescue team, divers and technical interventions (traffic) were on the field. Each team has 15-20 members.

At the site Virpazar / Vranjina teams simulated flooding and evacuations from vulnerable facilities, as well as underwater searches.
