Delegation of the Government of Montenegro in a working visit in Priština
Delegation of the Government of Montenegro, consisted of the Director General of the Directorate for Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Minorities and Other Minority National Communities, Leon Gjokaj, General Director of the Directorate for Education of Minority People and Other National Communities of the Ministry of Education Marash Dukaj and Fikret Ljuljanović, advisor in the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, has paid a working visit to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Rectorate of the University of Pristina, with the aim of helping interested candidates from Montenegro to sign up at the universities in Kosovo.
Members of the Montenegrin delegation discussed this issue with the Assistant Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Agim Berdyna and Rector of the University, PhD Marjan Dema and their associates.
Gjokaj informed the delegation about the requests of interested Montenegrin candidates for enrollment at the Kosovo Universities in the second enrollment period, emphasizing the Ministry's commitment to oblige the enrollment for as many candidates as possible in the second enrollment period, according to the legal possibilities and the policies of the University from Montenegro. He expressed the position of the Ministry to spread good mutual co-operation at all levels of education, especially in the field of student exchange and specialization in specific areas, and suggested that the cooperation of Ministries, including the Montenegrin Ministry of Education, will be strengthened in the future primarily in the fields which are important for the development of culture and minority education.
Berdyna introduced a delegation to the minority education model in Kosovo and expressed readiness of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to create conditions and enable the entry of interested Montenegrin candidates.
Readiness was also mentioned by the Rector of the University prof. Dr. Deme, who promised to pledge the maximum to help the candidates from Montenegro.
