Tivat: Raising awareness about the importance of preventive examinations

In the Health Center Tivat, preventive medical examinations were conducted for 21 Roma and Egyptian people from the territory of Tivat municipality, which tested blood sugar level, ECG, performed a review by a general practitioner and performed lung recording.

The mentioned activity was aimed at raising awareness about the importance of timely and regular reviews of members of vulnerable groups in our society, and also to reduce the importance of health prevention. Representatives of the Ministry and the managing doctor took the opportunity to demonstrate to the participants of the importance of regular departure to the doctor, on the other hand, the continuation of treatment at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels of health care, if the need arises for them, as well as the role of them as a parent they have according to their own children when it comes to preserving health.

The Ministry for Human and Minority Rights with the aforementioned partner institutions and organizations each year organizes the mentioned actions in cities with a significant number of members of the Roma and Egyptian populations. Previous similar activity was realized in Bijelo Polje, and after Tivat it was planned in Podgorica, Niksic and Berane.
