Ministers Zenka and Vucinovic: Government ready to help people in need
Minister for Human and Minority Rights Mehmed Zenka and Minister without Portfolio Marija Vučinović together with representatives of the Roma Council visited barracks of Roma families affected by the fire in the Municipality of Tuzi early this morning.
22 members of the Roma population were affected by this disaster and Ministers went to witness the scene in order to provide support to families and pass them the message about the readiness of the Government of Montenegro to help them.
Protection of human and minority rights of all its citizens is in the focus of the policy Government of Montenegro, said Minister Zenka, adding that it is most important that the assistance arrives in due time.
Minister Zenka visited the barracks that were affected by the fire and endangered families earlier this morning, together with Vučinović, who is also the president of the Commission for the Assessment of Damage from Natural Disasters. Vučinović pointed out that people in need would not be left without assistance and that the Ministers personally came to visit the scene, in order to have a complete picture of the event and talk with the families whose existence jeopardized this situation.
Minister Vučinović informed families who suffered damage that the Government reacted urgently and provided two containers, which were equipped for normal life through the Ministry of Internal Affairs, more precisely the Directorate for Emergency Situations.
