Zenka: Good preconditions for further improvement of the position of minority people have been created

As one more activity in line implemented in order to protect and promote the rights of minority people, a conference was held yesterday in the Old Town in Ulcinj on the topic of representation of the Albanian national minority in the administrative bodies. Participants of this conference exchanged views on the current situation and further challenges.

Minister Mehmed Zenka told the partitipants that the Government of Montenegro has created good preconditions for further improvement of the position of minority people and other minority national communities. The issue of their representation in the administration bodies is of significant interest and Government assesses it with its full commitment.

The conference was organized by the non-governmental organization Regional Centre for Art, Culture and Media - ELITA PLUS and it dealt with the issue of emigration of young Albanians.

At the opening, the President of the Municipality of Ulcinj Ljoro Nrekić and the well-known Belgrade analyst Dušan Janić, also addressed the participants.
