Minister Nuhodžić urges citizens to respect self-isolation measures: individuals are responsible for themselves and for whole society

Minister of the Interior Mevludin Nuhodžić urged citizens to respect self-isolation and quarantine measures, saying it was for the good of their families and the entire society and that anyone who violated the measures would be sanctioned without exception.
"The fight against coronavirus requires unity and responsibility. In this fight, the health and lives of people are our priority. We must be united, and together we must do everything in our power to save every human life. It is not only the responsibility of the state and the state institutions. That responsibility lies with us all," Minister Nuhodžić said.
The Minister said that a healthy and safe society is the Government's priority.
"Put yourself first. This is the only way you can protect yourself, your children, family and friends," the Minister said.
He recalled that the Government was making extraordinary efforts to bring citizens from abroad home, at their request, that our borders were open to our citizens, but that upon arrival in the country, a fourteen-day quarantine was a mandatory measure and an obligation for quarantined citizens to protect lives of their families.
"Therefore, we require you to respect the decisions of the state and health authorities to responsibly treat healthcare professionals and employees of quarantine facilities. I particularly urge citizens who are in isolation to strictly abide by the rules. It is not easy, but it is necessary, and I want to thank them for their responsible behaviour because they are protecting themselves and others," the Interior Minister said.
Reminding that police are checking the implementation of self-isolation measures on a daily basis, the Minister said that anyone who does not respect the measures will be sanctioned, without exception.
"Each individual is responsible for the society in which he or she lives and only by working together we can fight against the coronavirus. Respect your lives and the state's efforts to keep you healthy," Interior Minister Mevludin Nuhodžić said.
