Nuhodžić: Ministry of Interior further boosts its protection and rescue system through additional investment in equipment and training

Podgorica, Montenegro (29 February 2020) -- "We are all obliged to make an active contribution in reducing disaster risk, because our goal is the same and as both, citizens and the members of the protection and rescue system, we share the responsibility," Minister of the Interior Mevludin Nuhodžić noted earlier today at ceremony on 1st March, regarding the Day of Protection and Rescue in Montenegro and the World Civil Defence Day.

The Ministry of the Interior further works on boosting the protection and rescue system, through investments in equipment and training, Minister Nuhodžić pointed out.

"However, there is room for further enhancement of this system. In this regard, I would like to praise the involvement of members of the Emergency Management Directorate, who have implemented i.e. are implementing nearly EUR 7 million worth projects, together with international partners, since 2016 until now," Nuhodžić noted. He added that the Ministry of the Interior pays a special attention to the international cooperation, because we are witnessing that disasters know no boundaries.
