Kick-off announcement of Ms Petričević upon taking the position of Acting Director General

Distinguished colleages, taxpayers and citizens of Montenegro,

 
Fully aware of the given responsibility, hoping that I will fulfill all expectations of Government of Montenegro, economy and citizens, I took the duty of acting director of Revenue and Customs Administration of Montenegro.

 
Aware of difficulty and responsibility imposed by the given trust, in performing work duties I will invest all of my professional capacities and strong moral commitment, for achieving Administration's strategic goals toward progress in implementation of reforms, respecting principles of good leadership, fairness and fair competition.

Priorities in work of Administration in the next period of time will be sanctioning of all forms of illegal business that have direct impact on the state budget.

By consistent law enforcement and improving efficiency of complex Revenue system I will aspire towards compensating lack of trust in institution which integrate three important fields that require equal attention and dedication with the aim of future economic development, strenghtening stability of democratic institutions and moral base of society.

With regard to the recently activities in revealing illegal activities, I am convinced that officials of Revenue and customs administration of Montenegro represent valuable resource that through further coordination will continue achieving good results in repressing smuggling, revealing tax evasion, collection of public revenues and building safe business environment in Montenegro, having the greatest support of Administration's management.

Considering the mentioned, through further efforts, I am certain that we will continue to justify the role of one of the most important institutions in public revenue system, the effectiveness of which affects the functionality of the entire instutional framework of our state, the public interest and well-being of all citizens.
