Minister of Justice Zeljko Sturanovic meets with British Ambassador David Gowan

Montenegrin Minister of Justice Zeljko Sturanovic met today in Podgorica with the newly appointed Ambassador of Great Britain to SCG Mr. David Gowan.

Minister Sturanovic acquainted Ambassador Gowan with the reform activities underway in the Montenegrin Ministry of Justice, state administration and local self-government. Ambassador Gowan expressed particular interest in criminal law reform, latest developments concerning the constitution of the Appellate Court and Administrative Court, as well as the drafting of the Law on Mediation, since this legal practice exists in the Great Britain for quite some time, producing positive results by reducing courts workload.

Ambassador Gowan expressed his satisfaction with the intensity of efforts and the results achieved with regard to the aforesaid issues.
