Montenegro adopted the Analyses of compatibility of regulations in Montenegro with the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination of persons with Disabilities

The Government of Montenegro adopted earlier today the Analyses of compatibility of regulations in Montenegro with the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination of persons with Disabilities and the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities, together with recommendations for harmonization.

The documents contains overall analyses of the Montenegrin  legislation  and covers thirteen areas of legal regulation in almost sixty laws.

 

Based on the Analyses, Montenegrin laws in the field of recognition and protection of the rights of persons with disabilities are harmonized  with the legal standards of the Law on on Prohibition of Discrimination of persons with Disabilities and the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities. This implies further work on harmonization until the full harmonization of legal regimes  is achieved.

The Analyses showed that in some areas there is a need for approaching to simpler amendments, which are mostly technical.

In few areas, the process of harmonization needs strategic planning on longer terms as well as the more significant investments in the legal system of the country.

-dignity of honour

 

-dignity of person

-equal assessment to the objects and areas in public use

-equal assessment to information and communications

- equal assessment to public transport

- equal assessment of goods and services

- equal assessment in proceedings before public authorities

- health care and assessment to aids

- social care

- upbringing, education and vocational training

- labour , employment and rehabilitation

- partitipation in political and public life of community,

- cultural development and participation and sport and recreative activities.
