THREE-MONTH RECORD – OVER HALF A BILLION OF BUDGET REVENUES
From the beginning of the calendar year 2022 until 20 January, the Revenue and Customs Administration of Montenegro collected € 81,266,928.24 of budget revenues (tax and customs revenues), which resulted in revenue growth of 9.1 million € or 12.61% compared to the same period of 2019, or 6.46 million € or 8.63% more compared to the same period of 2020, and 10.67 million € or 15.1% more compared to the same period of 2021.
Despite the amendments to the Law on Contributions for Compulsory Health Insurance, which abolish health insurance contributions at the expense of employees and employers, while the state budget financing of health insurance takes over the financing of the entire population, we achieved a result that makes us proud during this month.
In support of the above, we would like to point out that 4.16 million were collected based on health insurance contributions in 2019 for the same comparative period from the beginning of the year, compared to 2.51 million collected this year, even though the state took over health insurance financing, i.e. it applied the so-called Beveridge model. RCA, for the third month in a row continues with the successful collection of budget revenues, for which I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the orderly taxpayers.
During the first three months of work of the new management (21 October 2021 – 20 January 2022), the Revenue and Customs Administration, headed by the Acting Director, Milena Petričević, collected € 510,600,341.64, which resulted in an increase in revenue of 26.89 million € or 5.56% more compared to the same period of the record 2019, or 74.45 million € or 17.07% more compared to the same period in 2020.
In the future, the Revenue and Customs Administration of Montenegro has the task to act by legal regulations and to ensure timely, accurate and uniform collection of budget revenues. The management of this Administration will work in the best interest and exclusively in the interest of public revenues, consistently and uniformly applying regulations and building tax administration with integrity.
