Abazović and Bojanić visit motorway: The works are nearing completion, transparency is part of the promise

Without good roads and infrastructure, the country will lag behind the competition. We need to act faster and anticipate good capital investments for citizens in the next year and to connect the country as much as possible. I am optimistic that this will happen. It is my pleasure to see that the construction works are nearing completion, said Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović.

Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović and Minister of Capital Investments Mladen Bojanić visited the final works on the priority section of the Bar-Boljare motorway from Smokovac to Mateševo, where they talked with representatives of CRBS, Monteput and subcontractors.

DPM Abazović pointed out that the Government had previously promised to monitor the dynamics of works on the motorway and that he was pleased that the Government had visited the works on this section for the second time in the past month, in order to show the expectation that the contractor will complete this section as soon as possible, but not to the detriment of quality.

This is an extremely demanding project for Montenegro, which cost and from which we expect a lot. The controversies are not the result of the actions of this Government or the Minister of Capital Investments. We from the Government and everyone else, must continuously monitor the project and do everything to ensure that the aspects of ecology, construction works, economy and connecting the north, generate great economic development of Montenegro, said Abazović.

Minister of Capital Investments Mladen Bojanić stated that today's visit was useful for media representatives to see the current works, reminding that transparency is part of the Government's promise.

Bojanić said that the construction works are nearing completion and that they will be completed by the end of October, followed by works related to technical documentation and installations.

Top quality works and good, sustainable and safe motorway have always been the priorities of the Ministry, Bojanić concluded.
