Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović met today with Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Gordan Grlić Radman. Montenegro and Croatia are an example of successful regional cooperation, while its strengthening and improvement is an important task in the coming period, said DPM Abazović.

During his working visit to Coatia, Abazović pointed out the necessity of deepening and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, but also resolving the remaining open issues.

Abazović and Grlić Radman agreed that it is necessary to foster a culture of remembrance, so that together we can build a peaceful and stable future, while a big step has already been made by jointly marking the 30th anniversary of the notorious Morinj camp earlier this year.

The meeting discussed the process of EU enlargement, while Grlić Radman emphasised that Montenegro will have the full support and assistance of the Republic of Croatia on its European path.

Minister Grlić Radman pointed out some of the projects of key importance for preserving the identity of Croats in Montenegro and the Bay of Kotor, especially emphasising the need to find a sustainable and lasting solution for the Croatian National Council (HNV) in Donja Lastva, as well as other Croatian cultural institutions in Montenegro.
