Borovinić Bojović, Čadež: The presence of coronavirus is a reality in which health and the economy must find common solutions
The delegation of the Government of Montenegro, headed by Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović, visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and talked with Director Marko Čadež and his associates about the current epidemiological situation in the two countries, health and economic aspects and cooperation in this field.
Minister Borovinić Bojović pointed out that she is aware of the importance of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia in overcoming the health crisis in Serbia, and informed her interlocutor about the procurement of vaccines and the implementation of immunization in Montenegro. She emphasised that Montenegro must not allow to lose another summer tourist season, and will strive to meet all health conditions for a better result in the upcoming season.
She conveyed the greetings of Ministers Milojko Spajić and Jakov Milatović and their call for strengthening economic cooperation between Montenegro and Serbia.
The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Mr. Čadež, reminded that Serbia enabled all businesspeople to enter the country without any kind of test, in order to facilitate the functioning of the economy. Depending on which country they come from, some are required to do certain tests within 24 hours of entering the country. Montenegrin businesspeople, as well as Montenegrin citizens in general, enter Serbia without any kind of health check.
He extended his greetings to Ministers Spajić and Milatović and praised the contacts made at the recent meeting with the representatives of the Managing Board of the Western Balkan 6 Chamber Investment Forum.
He expressed belief that economic contacts between the two countries would be intensified.
Čadez informed the Montenegrin delegation that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia provided 10,000 doses of the AstraZeneka vaccine for businesspeople in the region, and that the vaccination will take place at special vaccination points in Belgrade next weekend. He called on Montenegrin businesspeople to register their employees through the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, so that it could submit data to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and successfully enable vaccination.
Minister Borovinić Bojović thanked Mr. Čadež for this opportunity and invited businesspeople from Montenegro, especially in the field of tourism, to use this opportunity and get vaccinated in Belgrade next weekend.
