Borrell: Montenegro can be a successful example of Europeanisation

Prime Minister Dritan Abazović met Vice President of the European Commission and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell. PM Abazović said that initiating political dialogue, a functional parliamentary system, inclusion and commitment to efforts to reduce polarization in society are high on the agenda of the new Government, said PM Abazović.

EC Vice President and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell stressed that Montenegro can make a difference in Europe. He emphasised that Montenegro has a strong agenda and can be a successful example of Europeanisation, adding that the European Commission will provide necessary support.

Prime Minister Abazović pointed out that it is in Montenegro's national interest to create strong institutions and better living conditions, which would accelerate the integration path.

We are convinced that reforms and results will lead us to success, that is, the closing of negotiation chapters, which we expect at the end of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU, said PM Abazović.
