The National Council for the Fight against High-Level Corruption held the second press conference on allocating apartments and loans to public officials. Head of the Council's Expert Team Vanja Ćalović Marković and Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Council Dritan Abazović spoke at the press conference.

Ćalović Marković pointed to the documentation of the Government Commission that secretly gave apartments and loans to public officials and civil servants, adding that documents were classified as "internal".

In her presentation, Ćalović Marković reminded that the law forbids the Government and the Housing Commission to give apartments to judges, prosecutors and judges of the Constitutional Court.

"They should have had a special rulebook on apartment allocation, but the Constitutional Court still does not have it," the Head of the Council's Expert Team explained.

Ćalović Marković mentioned the cases of officials of the judicial, executive and legislative government who received apartments and loans on favourable terms, contrary to law, noting that documents were classified as "internal".

Ćalović Marković presented the cases of the following judges: Budimir Šćepanović, judge of the Constitutional Court, Vesna Begović, judge of the Supreme Court, Dragica Milačić, judge of the Supreme Court, Milanka Žižić, judge of the High/Appellate Court, Miraš Radović, judge of the Constitutional/Supreme Court, then judges of the Administrative Court, Nevenka Popović, Svetlana Radošević and Snežana Vukčević, as well as Senka Danilović, judge of the High Court and Milivoje Rašović, President of the High Misdemeanour Court.

When it comes to the state prosecutors who received apartments from the Government and the Housing Commission, Ćalović Marković singled out the following prosecutors: Mira Samardžić, Special Prosecutor, Veljko Rutović, Prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office, Miloš Šoškić, Prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office, Sonja Bošković, Prosecutor in the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office, Vesna Jovićević, Special Prosecutor, as well as Jelena Đaletić and Dražen Burić, Prosecutors of the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office.

Ćalović Marković also presented cases of the MPs in the Parliament of Montenegro who received apartments through the Government's Housing Commission: Suljo Mustafić, Sanja Pavićević, Halil Duković, Nada Drobnjak and Ervin Ibrahimović.

When it comes to independent agencies, apartments and loans on favourable terms were given to: Sreten Radonjić, Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, Miodrag Vujović, Director of the Agency for Protection of Competition and Mitar Bajčeta, Director of the State Aid Control Commission.

Ćalović Marković also presented documents that show which ministers in the previous period received apartments and loans on favourable terms: Osman Nurković, former Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs, and Kemal Purišić, former Minister of Labour and Social Welfare. Ćalović Marković also spoke about Government officials who had similar privileges, such as Blažo Šaranović, Director of the Property Administration, and Nataša Pešić, Secretary General of the Government.

Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović pointed out that this case provides answers to numerous questions and that it is very clear where the hysteria of opposition parties towards the new Government comes from and why the Prosecutor's Office and the judiciary do not want to do their job.

"All this we had the opportunity to see speaks of the control of the system, of a closed system, in which all those who fall out of that vicious circle are declared enemies or cannot act freely and professionally as they should," the Deputy Prime Minister concluded.
