Đorđe Janković was born on May 17th, 1985 in Podgorica where he completed Elementary and High School. He graduated in 2008. from the Faculty of Political Science (political-administrative Department), University of Montenegro. He started his work engagement in September 2008 in the Secretariat, later the Ministry of European Integration of Montenegro, where he worked as an Advisor in the Directorate for EU Accession. He was also the Secretary of the negotiating Group for industry, trade, customs, taxation and cooperation with other candidate countries. In December 2010, he continued his career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, as the Head of the Department for Economic and Financial Affairs of the EU. He was also the Secretary of two negotiating chapters (16 - Taxation and 29 - Customs Union). From June to December 2012, he worked in the Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the representative of Montenegro during the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU. |
From September 2015 to May 2019, he worked at the Embassy of Montenegro in Vienna, Republic of Austria. Since May 2019, he has been appointed as the Chief of the Cabinet in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. |
