DPM Abazović meets with Simonović and Peković

Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović hosted President of the Olympic Committee of Montenegro Dušan Simonović and President of the Basketball Federation of Montenegro Nikola Peković.

Montenegro is the land of champions. We want to be committed to the development of sports and that is the best way for Montenegro to assert itself in the world, because the efforts invested in sports always pay off, Abazović pointed out.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed full support to Montenegrin sports, federations and athletes and wished them to continue to represent their country in the best possible way in the coming period. Abazović pointed out that the state recognises the importance of the immense potential of Montenegrin athletes, noting that special attention should be paid to the promotion and development of sports for children and youth, but also to the development of sports infrastructure.

The interlocutors discussed the performance of Montenegrin athletes in the previous year, with special reference to the Olympic Games in Tokyo, and stated that our athletes achieved good results and worthily represented their country.
