DPM Aleksić hosts meeting to strengthen collaboration between University and industry

Deputy Prime Minister for Education, Science and Relations with Religious Communities Budimir Aleksić held a meeting with Vice-Rector of the University of Montenegro Veselin Mićanović, Miroslav Bojović, Bojan Pejović, and Maksim Vučinić, President of the Board of Directors of COTEE (Montenegrin Electricity Market Operator).

The meeting focused on the initiative to enhance cooperation between the University and the business sector through the engagement of academic staff in joint projects with employees of this energy entity. The aim is to improve existing activities and create new opportunities for collaboration.

Successful models across Europe and the world highlight the necessity of such partnerships. As a country that has only recently transitioned from an economic transformation process, Montenegro is responding quickly and effectively to the demands of the new era, particularly in the field of energy transition.

Participants agreed that the continued development of technologies and their impact on the market are highly dynamic and must be closely monitored to ensure the sustainability of the economy. With the intention of proactively addressing emerging challenges and opportunities, the development of this initiative through concrete projects was recognized as a matter of public interest for the country.
