DPM Gjeloshaj meets with Ambassador of Hungary and owner of 4iG company

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj held a meeting on 12 February 2024 with the Ambassador of Hungary, József Négyesi, and the owner of 4iG company, Gellért Jászai, along with their associates.

DPM Gjeloshaj emphasised the favourable business investment environment in Montenegro and openness to enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries, highlighting Montenegro's potential for new investments in infrastructure and digitalization sectors.

Ambassador of Hungary, József Négyesi, highlighted Hungary's continuous support for Montenegro's EU integration process and emphasised significant Hungarian investments in Montenegro, such as OTP Group and One company.

Mr. Gellért Jászai, the owner of 4iG company, expressed satisfaction with successful business operations in Montenegro and expressed interest in further development of telecommunications and digitalization processes in the country. He also announced new investments and projects in Montenegro, demonstrating commitment to improving the technological sector.

Furthermore, they evaluated the importance of further enhancing contractual cooperation between the two countries to further stimulate economic and investment cooperation, with specific projects in the areas of digitalization, new technologies, and telecommunications.

DPM Gjeloshaj informed the meeting participants that the draft Law on Electronic Communications is currently under public consultation, and the Ministry of Economic Development is currently considering all proposals and suggestions to improve the legislative framework in line with EU standards in this area.
