FM Krivokapić visits Combined Air Operations Centre Torrejon

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ranko Krivokapić visited the Combined Air Operations Centre (CAOC), which is located at Torrejón Air Force Base, northeast of Madrid. The Centre employs personnel from 18 NATO member states. The unit's area of responsibility comprises European NATO airspace south of the Alps.

Minister Krivokapić was received by CAOC Commander, Lieutenant General Fernando de la Cruz Caravaca.

NATO Allies Italy and Greece began NATO air patrols over Montenegro in 2018. The mentioned mission is carried out under the supervision of the Air Operations Centre in Torrejón. Montenegrin Lieutenant Colonel Dušan Malušić was also present at the meeting. Malušić joined the CAOC in March 2020.
